Arms Park Mural

Located directly along the banks of the Merrimack River in Arms Park you will find a 1,000-square-foot mural designed by SNHU communication and design professor, Harry Umen. This colorful display titled “Women and Girls of Amoskeag” brings history to life with an artistic representation of some of those who played such an important role in Manchester’s history in the textile mills. Of the mural’s subject matter, the artist said, “I wanted to use the theme of the history of Amoskeag Textile Mills as a way of connecting the present to the past, and letting people just connect with the total human experience that is so important in the evolution of Manchester.”

While you are in the park, you can also enjoy wonderful views of the River, enjoy a picnic, a leisurely walk, or just enjoy the natural beauty.
